
After two of my closest aunts died from cancer, and other relatives were suffering from diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, I became frustrated with the lack of useful nutritional guidance in traditional medicine and was drawn to the world of preventative health care.
After years of suffering from symptoms relating to my own disordered eating, I took a whole-foods based approach to healing and rediscovered vibrant health.
I am a certified Holistic Health Counselor, accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I received my training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York, NY, which is affiliated with Columbia University and hold a BA in Anthropology with a focus in Biology and Psychology. I am also trained as a Reiki practitioner and a certified stress and trauma relief instructor with both the Art of Living Foundation and the International Association for Human Values.
I have been studying complimentary and alternative health and healing since 1998, when at age 15 I began working at a local health food store, helping people find products and alternative therapies for their health concerns. To this day, I am still giving personal health advise as a Practitioner at Pharmica and as a personal health coach.

I have studied over 150 dietary theories including blood types, atkins, vegan, the eat-everything-diet, low-fat, high-fat, low-carb and high-carb, seasonal, as well as supplementation for vitamins, minerals, herbs, protiens, probiotics and more. Thus, my nutritional coaching integrates traditional philosophies such as macrobiotics and ayurveda with modern day concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index and raw foods.
As a health coach, I create highly personalized wellness programs to help clients find balance, loose weight, prevent illness and heal with food.
My mission is to improve the health and happiness of those suffering from symptoms of imbalance, and to aid in the prevention of disease using a holistic and whole-foods based approach to wellness.
My coaching focuses on women’s issues such as body image, weight and nutrition. Her training has allowed her to create a transformative approach to wellness which examines not only what is on our plate, but all things that feed our lives.
On a personal level, my top priority is the spiritual aspect of my life, which includes learning and teaching yoga of the body, breath and mind. I find that when I keep up with my spiritual practices, the rest of my life runs much smoother. I have a passion for creativity which is expressed through creating personalized flower essences, aroma-therapies, skin care products, creating sacred spaces and crystal malas. These are my hobbies and joys to share for health, healing and beauty. I also enjoy yoga and nature as often as possible and never turn down good company. I am fascinated with crystal healing, the power of prayer, body-type-specific fashion, and have an endless bandwidth for self-help books.
All of these are playfully incorporated into my health coaching programs as desired by my clients.
